The members of the Hong Kong Lady Liberty had been to Tokyo, Japan and presented two statues of Hong Kong Lady Liberty to Mr Hironori Kodama, a Japanese photographer/journalist who has been constantly visiting Hong Kong to photograph the truth of the Hong Kong democratic movement.
Mr Kodama had previously worked as a reporter and editor for Asahi TV, NHK. Since June 2019, he has been visiting Hong Kong several times and shot more than 20,000 photos in Prince Edward, Central, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University and other protest frontlines, Thereafter, he held “WATER / あ ふ れ る 水 の な か へ” photography exhibitions in Tokyo and Fukuoka respectively. He also established the Tokyo Lennon Wall outside his film camera shop which attracted media from both Hong Kong and Japan, introduced the story of the Hong Kong democratic movement to the Japanese citizens. Besides, he compiled a diary of his visit to Hong Kong, attached with Chinese translation, conducted a charity sale during his visit to Hong Kong, and donated half of the profit to the 612 Humanitarian Relief Fund.
During the conversation with Mr Kodama, we were deeply impressed when he replied us with the phrase in Cantonese 「兄弟爬山 各自努力 」, so our team intentionally gave an additional statue of Hong Kong Lady Liberty holding the flag of 「兄弟爬山 各自努力 」 in order to acknowledge him being stand with Hong Kong.
Our team will continue to send more “Little Goddess” to the fellow traveller around the world who pay tribute to this revolutionary movement, promote our will of Hong Kong’s democratic struggle globally and gain international support.
