UPR (Universal Periodic Review) is an important human rights monitoring process conducted by the United Nations Human Rights Council. It is crucial for us to submit a report to raise awareness and draw international attention to the human rights situation in Hong Kong. The focus of and Lady Liberty HK and JHKDA’s report revolves around the constraints on artistic and cultural freedom, the suppression of expression, censorship and removal of books and artworks, as well as the impact on professionals and businesses. By submitting our report, we aim to advocate for the voices of Hong Kong and urge for improvements in human rights.
